Really?!

Really?! Really life? Is it okay that a festival of this wonder is happening in three weeks, and I'm not there, nor am I going, or would be capable of going. Best music festival in the world has lived up to its reputation.

ECHO AND THE BUNNYMEN, Blur, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Madness, Tom Jones, Status Quo, Prodigy, Bon Iver, Neil Young, Lily Allen, Fleet Foxes, Bloc Party, LadyHawke, Friendly Fires, White Lies, The Rakes, The Streets, Rolf Harris, Animal Collective, The Horrors, Crookers, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Kasabian, Seun Kuti and Fela's Egypt 80, Crosby Stills & Nash, Dizzee Rascal, Spinal Tap, Franz Ferdinand, Paolo Nutini, Pete Doherty, Peter, Bjorn and John, Gaslight Anthem, The Temper Trap, Jamie Cullum, Wombats, 2ManyDJs, Cold War Kids, Peaches.

As Kyle so nicely put it "It's like my ipod has come to life."

LAME. That would be the most fun, however I cannot complain that my own little narrative is going badly because it's not. Things are awesome.

I've spent the whole week getting completely motivated about life in general, this age and making the most of stuff. People go through much much worse than what I'm going through, and dealing with emotions and love and sadness and stress and anxiety and self esteem is all part of growing up which I clearly will never stop doing. People will always be growing and learning, and if I dwell for too long on feeling lonely or wanting something to happen, nothing will happen and I will turn back and realise I wasted so much time wanting, and not enough time DOING. I know what I'm about, what I like and what I'm not really into, I have awesome jam packed weeks and I'm busy all the time but I wouldn't have things any other way.

Feeling absolutely fantastic, new music, new people popping in and out, catching up with people after a while, next week after the rush of assignments I will be finished uni for the semester no exams and the chance to make a stack of money and head to brisbane to see some of our favourite people. Things couldn't get much better... unless "knock. knock"

Tess signing out with severe pangs of disappointment that she's not on the way to the glastonbury festival.

i have two colours in my head.

Freedom, clean slate, new job, confidence boosting journalism marks, fit fit, meeting new people, parties, comfortable but not in a rut, soon to be new hair which will be a totally new look! This year will be an interesting one in terms of that I don't know where I'll be location wise or personally throughout it or at the end of it. Last year was a year of fun and moving on to a new part of my life in which I'm a lone ranger and independent rather than an extension of anyone else's life and this year will hopefully be an extension of that, where I have the rare chance to be selfish myself and now that I've altered my mind set about that, it is pretty damn cool.

Hello to accessories for 70% off, I'm so there. Hello to nerd, bed, comfy day. Hello to sunday night games.

In Limbo

Lundy, Fastnet, Irish Sea
I got a message I can't read
Another message I can't read

Being the first in the Irish Sea
I got a message I can't read
Another message I can't read

I'm on your side
Nowhere to hide
Trapdoors that open
I spiral down

You're living in a fantasy world
You're living in a fantasy world

I'm lost at sea
Don't bother me
I've lost my way
I've lost my way

You're living in a fantasy world
You're living in a fantasy world
You're living in a fantasy world
This beautiful world

Another message I can't read

Oh yeah, baby.

Today was SO good. I had so much fun this morning at the job, and came out with already much more experience, constructive criticism about how to best work my voice, meeting new people and learning new things about what goes on in our town, and clarification that I am most definitely on the right track. Yes! Then uni, then wii, then cooking, then quizzing, then a show about the economic crisis and how my main man Barack could fix it.

The list: Geoffrey Rush, Will Smith, Barack & Michelle Obama, Audrey Hepburn, Michael J Fox, Muhamed Ali, Shaun Micalef, Nick Cave.

Obama's so cool, but has the worst situation to kick start off. This could be wonderful in that if he really can turn it around and bring the country back from the brink of failure. However the Republicans acted so incredibly selfishly and irresponsibly, and Bush did not listen to any of the advice he was given in regards to the amount of money spent on the War and Health Care that the country literally has no money at all. So how does the coolest person in the world fix the problem in the world that risks everything for everybody else?! Go the good thing though.

He worked in Baskin Robbins, he lived in Indonesia with a pet ape, he loves scrabble, he gave the queen an iPod with musical songs on it, he's won a grammy award, written a book, his dad was an athiest yet he's come to his own opinions. Cool as.

You can only hope that you go about your own life, your own career and your own day to day existance with a similar amount of honesty and respect and enthusiasm.

Did you know that Jimi Hendrix was thrown out of high school for holding the hand of a white girl in class? And that Eric Clapton was born to an unwed mother so to shield him from the shame, he grew up believing that his grandparents were his parents and his mother was his sister.

fee fi fo fum

TALK. To me.

Top Five Reasons I feel fiiine today!

1. My friends are too good, checking the thread for updates about our ever exciting lives, hanging out for cups of tea, playing wii, getting through uni, saturday night lives.

2. I'm assignment/presentation free for a few weeks

3. I start a new and super exciting job in the morning.

4. I have a new laptop and a nintendo wii to fill in the time when I'm home sweet home

5. I have three books lined up to read, and no uni reading to intefere with them

Hearing many problems of late and so many of them come down to communication errors. People need to learn how to communicate better, or communicate full stop. You don't need to communicate with people you don't think are worth your time, toxic people, who needs them? So you just concentrate your energies on people you want to see and want to talk to, and that have mutual respect for you and will contact you and make an effort. I'm surrounded by these people, so who could complain?
